Park Seo-Hee
1990 Born in Seoul, South Korea
The young and talented ceramic artist Park Seo-Hee experiments with
traditional celadon glazes within her work, achieving a bold and contemporary, tonal elegance. Having recently completed a master’s degree at The Seoul National University, Park has already attracted attention from notable institutes and galleries in Korea, China and Germany. Unusually, Park trained in ceramics under a design discipline and during her studies focused on the importance of the practical alongside aesthetics within her work. Park’s now well-known sake bottle series is a clear demonstration of art that begins as a practical concept, taken through and shaped by a journey of process.
